Join us is making a difference!

The mission of Mothers Against Drunk Driving is to stop drunk driving, support the victims of this violent crime and prevent underage drinking.

Why are we MADD?

Three out of five Americans will be affected by alcohol-related crashes at some time in their lives. We must act now to stop this senseless crime.

Of every $1 you pay in auto insurance premiums, as much as 33 cents may be used to pay for costs related to drunk driving. It’s everyone’s problem, and together we can stop it from hurting more loved ones.

Who are we?

Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) is a 501(c)3 non-profit, grassroots organization. MADD is not on a crusade against the responsible use of alcohol.

MADD is more than just angry mothers. We are mothers, fathers, brothers, sisters, victims, concerned citizens, students and much more. We are individuals who care about keeping loved ones safe.

One person can make a difference!

Get MADD and become a volunteer!

In the State of California driving under the influence of alcohol cause more than 31,000 people to be injured each year. This is an average of 85 each day. Since 1980 MADD has been working to make our roads and communities safer by preventing motorist from drinking and driving. Our efforts have helped to reduce the number of alcohol-related crashes and injuries.

The MADD Shasta County volunteers are committed to the prevention of underage drinking because alcohol is the deadliest drug for youth today. Statistics show that children are starting to drink as early as age 12. And that means they are four times more likely to drink and drive! There is much more to be done here in Shasta County and we can’t do it alone. We need more people like you. Please make a commitment to convince those who commit this senseless crime that their dangerous choices will no longer be tolerated. GET MADD. Become a Volunteer!
